Specifications

The source of power for this device is an inter source, capable of handling 230 volts of AC at a frequency of 50/60 Hz. Power consumption, however, varies depending on the machine’s status. When the printer is fully operational, it can consume up to 310 watts, which is the maximum power requirement. When in standby mode, power usage is reduced to approximately 30 watts. In sleep mode, the printer only requires 1.9 watts of energy while plugged in.

The printing speed of this device is dependent on the size of paper being used, with varying rates for different sizes. For example, A4 paper can produce black print at a rate of up to 20 pages per minute (ppm), while letter-size paper can achieve up to 21 ppm for black and white printing. For connectivity, both wired and wireless options are available, with the former requiring a compatible USB cable. An exciting new feature of this printer is the WiFi(n) component, which allows for broadcasting.

The device boasts a clean pages rendering engine technology known as ReCP for image enhancement. A remarkable print language, Samsung Printer Language (SPL), sets it apart from other common languages. After sending the print command, the first printed page emerges in a mere 8.5 seconds. The input tray can hold up to 150 sheets of plain paper for media handling.
