This 14-by-14 grid contains 8 animal words. Search left to right and top to bottom; each word follows a straight line without turning.

Words: WHALE, JAGUAR, PANDA, ZEBRA, COUGAR, LEOPARD, WALRUS, BEAVER.

A practical search method

Pick a longer word such as LEOPARD. Locate its first letter, check the next letter in an allowed direction, and continue only while every letter matches. Cross the word off the list after checking the entire spelling. Repeated letters by themselves are not a match.

Print the puzzle and keep the answer separate

Page 1 is for solving. Page 2 gives each word’s starting row, column and direction. Count rows from the top and columns from the left; (0, 1) means right and (1, 0) means down.
