How to play

Fill the empty cells so that every row, every column and every 3 × 3 box contains the digits 1 to 9 exactly once. Each puzzle has a single solution, and the full answer grid is on page 2.

Start with an Easy puzzle if you are new to this type. Print a test copy first and check that your printer is set to Actual size.

Start with a grid you can explain

Easy Classic Set 001 and Set 002 each have 42 givens in a 9-by-9 grid and an answer on page 2. They are two different grids in the same format. Use row, column and box elimination; do not add the numbers as a math exercise.

Choose by format and strategy

The difficulty label is a starting point, not a guaranteed solving time. Check the preview, practice candidate notes, and keep the solution page out of view until needed. Print only page 1 for a solving session. If you are stuck, identify one conflict or missing digit before looking at the complete answer.
